If they don't point up like that, that would be a good thing to me. I still haven't seen a shad floating with its head out of the water.

I know that lots if people use Sammies and catch lots of fish.
Hey Ron, after reading CB's and your posts, and my womens not letting me go fishing last night, I threw several top waters in the pool to see how they float and to hopefully learn something. Had a B71, a KPN, an LC Sammy, a knock-off Sammy and one of the ones I painted. The LC Sammy practically does a back flip, pretty much sitting with the nose straight up. The KPN and the knock off Sammy lay flat and the B71 lays slightly angeled up and mine just a little more than the B71. Here's some pics.
