Lake Perris Marina Crappie 4/04/2014

Good day today, caught 3 lost one large crappie at the surface but ended up catching a 16 inch one at the end of the day. It helped having the fish finder (fishing buddy) and the net to land that last one.

Freddy also lost one but ended up catching one too.

WTG Anthony!
They finally fixed the lights - bait balls - are coming through again mike. Water is ~62 - 63F and the fish are suspended.

I saw your photo on the Matthews fishing report. I told my wife that I knew you from Perris Lake.

Congrats on the large Crappie, Anthony. My largest was 14 3/4 inches, and I think it was a White Crappie (at Bass Lake).

I should get out to Perris more but things are pretty busy around here these days. :) And the fishing has been particularly slow the past couple of years for those of us without a boat, but seeing your catch is encouraging. I can't wait for the water level to go back up.
