Crappie strike out ,let me count the skunks,,,

Was very excited to fishing after the much neede rain we received ,the crappie have got to be ready ,,I get a call from a friend whom I haven't fished with in three years ,he kinda has the sloooooooo reputation and boy did he live up to it ,,he wanted to take his raft and motor out today(I already had my floatube in car ) I agreed got to his house at 6,called him and woke him up,,he got out of the bathroom 6:30 we proceeded to load boat,he can't find tackle we leave his house at 8 ,headed to piru,first we stop to get his license ,then food, then gas for motor,we finally get to the lake at 11:00!!!!!!!!!!!,,the winds were so high it was almost impossible to even cast let alone go out on the boat,after an hour I had enough,,the water was up three feet ,,I started thinking ,,1 tr castaic lagoon,1 trip Elsinore ,1 tr Perris,1 trip Isabella ,1 tr,castaic lagoon,1tr piru,,not a one bite!!!so I'll be out there next week somewhere wish me luck
