Default Solo mission to the land o' limits

All my pals were busy or out of town so I hit Necktie one more time by myself. First one there, metered around and saw nothing anywhere except in 100 feet, so dropped the anchor and caught nothing for an hour...pulled anchor and drove around again, and this time I saw good marks at around 70 feet, so I anchored up there...used frozen sardines on the bottom and flylined nightcrawlers. Caught a few schoolies on both baits, and then around 10 the bigger 3 pound and up models showed up...I let the live schoolies go (the ones that could swim away strongly) and fished until I limited out, and it didn't take long...it was insta-bite on sardine chunks on the bottom, and they were all good fish...top one was 5.5 lbs., and I lost two bigguns that broke me off...gotta change the leader more often between fish

Had to leave that hot bite because I didn't have any more small live fish to cull. Nightcrawlers worked on the schoolies, but you had to reel them slowly to get them to hit it.

    Thanks for the report.
