Thread: Carp/Golden Shiner swimbait

    Default Carp/Golden Shiner swimbait

These Seg Swimbaits actually have very good action with either a fast or slow retrieve. They weigh about 1 oz and are medium-slow sinkers. I like this baby carp color that can also be seen as a Golden Shiner. Now if they catch fish or not, I'll have to find out. The price was right, about $8.

I heard these spin quite a bit on a good cast. Is that true? I thought about getting one a while back.

I like those swimbaits. I have several in different patterns. You'll find just about every variety available here on wlure (also on ebay).

Tried filming their action a while back, not the greatest video, old camera: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wMoTnVQShA

These lures were originally marketed by ABT and reviewed by TackleTour. They liked 'em, nailed bass on 'em: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewabtbanshee.html
Now, you can find unbranded ones all over for considerably less than the initial price. They swim very well too!

RealFishBait has a version with the brush/broom tail,: http://www.realfishbaitcompany.com/r...r-60-sink.html

Yeah, they have lots of colors/baitfish, including several kinds of trout, bass, and a great Black Crappie, but no Bluegill. You would think that pattern would be pretty popular.
