Pulled up near a shoreline and waited for the top water action to go off. Threw the Sammy and jerkbait around for nada. Decided to drop the rig and troll. Hit another 2 pounder then it started. Hooked up a 12 pounder followed by a 7 then a 5 pound. So by 8:30 had 5 on board. Things died out after that and I left around 10:15 after taking a turn around the ramp 2 area. Water is up to 53*ish.
Thanks for the update. A 12, 7 and a 5 is a pretty good month for a lot of us. I'm going out one day this week. I think I'll throw swim baits first thing in the morning, do a little bass fishing, and then I'm going to drift and dead stick for stripers deep.

I'm still pretty new at this game. Is an Ice Jig a spoon like a Krocodile?

    Thanks for your help,

That's a bait I probably would have never given a second look at walking the isles at BP.
    Thanks Pat

Nice job Pat. Jealous. Ankle surgery tomorrow - out probably at least 2 weeks for fishing. I'll let you know when I'm ready! Til then, keep posting.

I fished the lake this morning. Threw 4" swim baits until 7:30 when they shut down. I got 1 at 7#, 6#, 3#, and 2 at 2#. Then I tried trolling until 9:00 for nothing. Bass fished for an hour for nothing. Then I tries Dead Sticking in deep water for another hour for nothing. Off the water at 11:30.

Looks like the pattern is the same. The bite seems to end a few minutes earlier each day. We'll see what happens with the new moon....
