    Man we can do that at Piru, DVL or Isabella. I used to make that trip down south to El Capitan, Hodges, Lower Otay and lake Henshaw.
    Also the lakes up the coast all the way to San Antonio.

    Any of the lakes I mentioned. Call the lakes and hit it when the water temps start to hit that 55-62 degree. They are already pre-spawn and will more than likely be spawning March-April but can be caught all year long.

    Is a white curly tail grub good to catch them with at Perris?

    Sure but try some tubes. I carry at least 10-15 different color tubes, majority being two tone. Green White, Yellow White, Black chartreuse. You have to experiment. Even the color of the jig heads can make a huge difference (Red head White body, Black head Chartreuse body). Hardest part is locating the schools of active fish and using the lightest line you can get by with. Also the weight of the jig head can be the most important. I carry 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8.
