Default SM - 12/26-28 Noodle Benders + VIDEO

Did a couple morning sessions on Thursday and this morning with the noodle and got into a s#!tload of BSP. I couldn't get any big spawners, but a ton of mid-size ones that doubled the light pole over. All were caught on MORF Bugrubs; 13'6" noodle rod; 8 lb braid with a 4 lb fluoro leader.

The conditions we excellent on both days. Managed nine perch in little over an hour this morning. Some of the craziest bird action I've ever seen. They were all the way up on the beach eating baitfish--looked like anchovies. Some were even washed up on the sand from the chaos.

The water was moving around a lot more on Thursday and the fish were much more aggressive. They hit just about every retrieve I threw at them--a strong contrast to this morning's Perch that were only interested super subtle presentations of the grub. Managed seventeen perch in about two hours this morning.

Here's the video of some highlights.

Still trying to use this weird jig rig thing, but the fish have been going for the grub when given the choice; the might be hitting the jig, but not sticking for all I know. It also could be contributing to getting the fish's attention.

The jig is tied to the 8 lb braid main line; the swivel is tied in when I make the jig; off the back is the 4 lb leader with a size 4 Mosquito hook--hammer-hooked the grub.

Neat video. Lol I would get bored of those perch very quickly if I were catching them at that rate. BTW, do you ever having issues casting and fishing in the wind with braid?

Definitely a little harder to deal with on the long noodle rod since it can wrap around the tip easily, but nothing that would ruin a trip so far.

Great report and video! Keep it up...never know when that jig is gonna make that noodle fold in half with a BIG surprise. I'll be on he look out for that report.

Yeah. I snapped the tip of a rod due to blistering winds and a toothpick type rod tip. That was a fun day. Thanks!
