    No the halting of stocking in San Gabriel River had to do with an ecological impact of the trout affecting local native species which is still being investigated. I think all the trout stocked now are triploid to prevent meiosis and spawning.

    State plants at GVL have been horrible the past 2 years as it is .last year they were under 12 inches, maybe 3/4 of a pound at most.
    on the plus side, GVL is stocking calaveras on top of the jess ranch trout
