Hey everyone,
The wife and I headed up the 395 for our yearly fall fishing trip. Fishing was great as always. We stopped at the Lone Pine sand trap, but the water level was low and we didn't get anything. There were a few fish swimming around, but nothing biting. So, we headed up to PVR where we finally got some fish including a nice 3 pound DFG rainbow.
The next morning we walked to one of my favorite spots in Mammoth and came upon this beautiful fall scene:
The fishing there was decent. Got our limits, but nothing big. Thomas bouyants were killing them!
The next morning we accomplished my wife's goal of getting a trophy brook trout. Thanks to FSNHLIC for helping us out! It was an amazing experience watching her land the fish. One of the most spectacular trout I've seen in the Sierras!
Gotta love fall fishing up there!
