Skinner Sat-Sun before Labor day

Both days started with a boil right outside the marina but that was the end of the similarity. Saturday stripers were had somewhat easily. Not wide open by any means, but a limit at the end of the day for sure. Sunday was much slower. Short strikes, no hits even going through metered schools, boils ignoring lures. Yes I got some, but it was a real grind. Probably due to the brighter skies on Sunday. Water is up to 82* in some areas and level is down a bit too.

Thanks for the report Pat. I was wondering if you were able to take time to go hit the lake since school is now back in session. I may have to hit the lake this weekend.

Man, jealous. Haven't been since I saw you there last. Back teaching really hurts my fishing plans! Hopefully get back there soon for the beginning of the fall bite. Thanks for the report!
