    Default Good at the Wood

Our son was on leave for a few days. A Gunner's Mate for the NAVY, he is pretty busy and doesn't have much "free" time. He came up and stayed the night and we hit the water first thing in the AM. He hadn't been out on the new family boat yet either, so...gonna be a good day. He says "Dad, I haven't caught a fish for a while...put me on some?" So we headed into the cove, cut some bait and BAM...it was a hot bite for a few! Put him on 2 striper, back to back, within minutes. Gramma was out with us and hooked up with this nice one! She has Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and had a helluva time fighting it in, but she does it! Way to go Mom!

Caught and kept about 7 on the day. Just spent the morning fishing and the rest of the day enjoying family time! GREAT DAY! Striper tacos tonight!

Nice job out there. Glad to hear that he was able to get on some fish. Must have been an awesome feeling knowing that he hooked into a couple straight away!
