    Default Friday 8/16 PreBirthday fishing

Took my tube out Friday morning, got to the gate just as it was openeing, on the water by 620. Lots of action on the water early, I tried some top water and other lures first, couldnt get them to bite, after like two hours started getting dissapointed, was almost getting ready to get off the lake, started moving around power boat cove, looking for good structure, when I was able to figure out a bite with soft plastics and IT WAS ON. For the next few hours I was on a pretty steady bite, with the size of fish getting bigger as the morning wore on. I stcuk it out for a couple of hours after the bite died down and still got a few more. I was off the water by 230, tired from all the kicking, but really happy with my best day so far from my tube. It was my first ten plus fish day, I lost count but by all the pictures I took it was at least twelve fish. This was a great way to start off my birthday weekend. #NoBadDays #BABA

Now that is a happy pre-birthday! Way to stick it out and figure out the bite. One of the most frustrating things is knowing that they are there and not being able to hook up. My birthday weekend is next weekend and I hope I'm able to get out and catch a few myself somewhere.

No I haven't tried it, but I'm planning on going back out on Monday morning too, hopefully I'll see you out there, Jaime
