I've been lurking on the site for a month or two. Hope to learn more from everyone here. 0 for 3 at Castaic but I'm 10 for 10 at Balboa
I also enjoy hunting, gun owning, video gaming, forum lurking, camo hat wearing, and hiking. I'd like to give a big shout out to the SFV crowd.

I've caught some type of sun fish and or tilapia's. I've also caught many small Carps.

Weve caught green sunfish and tilapia there. Every once in a while someone pulls out a great big Oscar or pacu. The lake is a dumping ground for aquariums. (there is also a big population of placos - but we've only ever snagged one)

there are big carp in there too. if you go there early in the morning you might see them cruising the shallows. I've seen folks get 'em on dough baits.

my daughters and nephew cut their teeth there and though they have now moved on to bigger game, we'll still take a few of our non-fishing friends with kids there a couple trips a year. and while the average size of fish seems to keep diminishing, it's always a good time.
