"Stand you ground" was not used by the defense...
I'm not an expert but common sense would dictate he could try but its not the same being the visitor and standing your ground vs being at home and doing the same.
And the fact the jury and all evidence points to Treyvon being the aggressor and being on top of Zimmerman negates the argument.
But it wasn't used so what's your point?

I don't know some stat I heard indicated that blacks used that defense in Florida far more than whites, now the better stat would be who actually was acquitted most by percentage by using that defense, that might actually tell some sort of bias, perhaps.
No, the better stat - and one which we will likely never know - would be how many illegitimate uses of the the "Stand Your Ground" defense resulted in a No-File or successful acquittal.
