I fished this morning with Muddy Waters.
We only went a couple hundred yards before my drag started peeling at that speed that says snag. I told Ron, "I'm hung up, reel in." and grabbed the the pole. That's when the head shakes started. The fish fought hard at first then came in pretty far before running again. I'm not sure that there weren't 2 there at first.
One for the fish hold!
We had just gotten started and things were already happening.
We circle around and made another pass. This time Ron hooked up. !t turned out to be a 1 1/2 lb. schoolie. We threw him back. After a couple more passes we headed on down the lake, taking a survey. We got a couple more small fish and threw them back, then, down at the inlet, Ron hooked up again. This one was a little better.
Into the well it went!
We made pass after pass in this area and only got one more tiny tap, then headed back down to try the first spot again. We picked up another little fish out of the same spot as the first little fish and released it too.
We stopped to talk to DK4885, Andrew and VampireBrett.
They had caught a few small fish. Nice meeting you VampireBrett. It's always nice seeing DK and Andrew out at some lake. I wouldn't be surprised to see them put together a good catch.
We went down the fish arm then, continuing our survey. We caught 6 or 7 little ones, released them and were back at the ramp by 10:00.
I'll be back at the lake by 4:00. I'm not done yet!
