Been tubing the east end shallows lately and my dad and I decided to hit Bernasconi this time and see if the bass were in deeper waters... lines wet by 7am, cold with heavy cloud cover but the water was warm at 70 degrees. The grass has really grown and is 10ft tall in many places but there is a very pronounced weedline which is where the bass seemed to be hanging out today. My Dad and I were both at 5 fish by 10 when the sun finally broke through which seemed to turn off the bite until I hooked into my new PB bass... 4.25 lbs! Slowly working my way up in weight. Off the water at 11, all fish caught between 15 and 25 ft.
