Thread: anyone figured out how to get a Trolling motor on the FCAT4?

    I'm sure putting a trolling motor on it wouldn't be much of a problem. The biggest hurdle is the weight of a deep cycle battery.

    I talked to one of the guys at the local fishing store, similar to a BPS. He was telling me of something like the pic in the link. BUT it does not come w/ that crappy round tube you sit your bit in. It's only the motor tube part, like it's a separate unit.

    He said that he should be getting some in soon. I was inquiring about adding a motor to my Outcast Fish Cat Streamer XL IR, but he said that the weight of the battery & the trolling motor would make it too heavy in the back. So he went on to tell me of the separate tube for trolling motor & battery. He said the tube will sell for under a $100, now you have to also get the trolling motor & battery.

    I am interested for next year. He did have a brochure to the separate tube motor, so I know he wasn't yanking my leg on that one.
