Default Skinner still a grind 5/19

On the water 6:10 and as soon as I hit the main lake I was actually metering bait! Hit a striper on the troll right away (although only a pound or so). Dropped the rig and started off again.
Just as I meterd another ball there was a swirl near the boat. Picked up my jerkbait and threw it at him. Bang! Another small one. Got four all togetrher, all the same size. Got on the LMB
around 9:00. They are there butr still spooky. Rising water probably has something to do with it. Managed a few smaller models on the Senko then tossed my craw-jig at a shallow bouy.
Nice fat 4 lb.er. The fish are there but you definately need to work for them.
BTW there is still a lot of floating grass making trolling a big PITA unless you have a downrigger to keep the trash from traveling down the line. Stripers were all suspending more shallow
now from 7-20 feet in 30-50 feet of water.

Nice going Pat, you're getting some nice mixed action out there! I sure do hate the weeds fouling the trolling, it gets frustrating quick. Cool topwater score!
