    Default fishing flop

Woke up before gray light to hit An ao i have been spotting, conditions were nice at home in lbc but in the 20 min i drove the wind machine turned on. Got to the beach to find dust devils spinning around all over the place and gusts that i later found out to be 25mph.

With that much sand blowing around and the wind face surf getting large a decided not to risk having to rebuild my reel or growing new skin on my face so i headed home.

I guess it will have to be a mountain biking day lol

    Damn Santa Annas

Yea going on on my boat today and heard the seas from the south were up to 4 ft with winds at 20 knots plus so parked it and put off going until next week. I know the santa annas are over. This wind is from the south and stronger than was predicted yesterday. Plus with low pressure moving over the coast fishing would be tough until the rain gets here on Monday. Tight lines and God Bless

I hit Newport at the river's mouth this
morning. Hooked up a couple of perch before 8am but then the winds got to me as well. Maybe next weekend will be better.

Wind was offshore and blowing from the south. My lure went like 20 ft. at best. Even the surfers at the beach I went to didn't want to even try.

Use the wind to your advantage. Find a spot with the wind at your back.
N side of a jetty, inner bay. Seal beach side of of the Los Al channel ect.
Mix it up, break your usual pattern.
Tie on a Kroc or Kastmaster.

    Good info from DR.
There are other avenues to pursue.

    Hi ya FishinLBC,

I use these kind of days to visit my local tackle shops and to maintain my personal fishing gear.

    Thanx for your session report!
