I have been waiting for Castaic since last fall. Been hitting DV on a regular basis, and decided today was the day. We were 6th in line, overcast; water temp 64-66 degrees.
Got one on in the first 15 minutes....and the slaughter continued!!!!!!!!!!! Great day on the lake, between me and my partner we boated 25+ fish. They were in pre/during/post spawn mode.
Fish were all over the h2o column, color did not seem to matter. All I can say is to S-L-O-W your presentation down and stand by.
Only a few dinks, several 2-3lbs...one 7.75. Tight lines!
