Lake Skinner 4/24/2013

Metered alot of fish. Nothing would bite. Fish are holding close to the bottom. Watched a few bass protecting their beds at the boat ramp. Water temp is about 66. The ranger says the only thing showing are blue gills at the east end tullies. Will try again tomorrow. The inlet today was flowing strong today.

I also fished skinner today and had the opposite results. I had one of the best days of quality fish I have ever had at skinner. Went left out of the marina and caught Bass on both sides of the lake. Was using reaction baits and baits on top.

I can not wait until the day I can get a boat and not have to get rentals. With a trolling motor I think my fish count will almost double at skinner. Wish they would update to some better boats.

try throwing some big poppers at the inlet. caught some big fish there around this time of year. make sure its heavy enough to cast all the way to to the left and right side of the canal.
