How to save at least 19% off any purchase from Bass Pro Shops.com

I made a purchase today from bass pro shops and saved around 19% off my purchase ( 20% after accounting for bass pro rewards). This would be valid for EVERYTHING from their site. The steps are a bit more complicated but will save you lots!

1st, look for discounted gift cards. I went to Plasticjungle.com. They had 15% off their bass pro gift cards, i purchased 2 $50 for $85 dollars. After purchase, check your plasticjungle account for the card and Pin #.

2nd. Go to the website fatwallet.com and use their fat cash referral to enter the bass pro shop site. Here is the direct link, if you scroll down, you will see Bass Pro (4% discount) http://www.fatwallet.com/cash-back-shopping/B/ You would also need a fatwallet.com account. You can also use ebates.com ( 4.5% discount) as well. Going through fatwallet.com, fatwallet will pay you 4% of the total purchase.

3rd. Buy whatever you want. Make sure you have a Bass Pro Rewards account so you get an addition 1-3% back from Bass Pro as store credit.

So in net, at the end of the purchase, you have saved around 19-21%. If you used a credit card to purchase the gift cards, you get another 1-2% cash back, so in theory its around 20-22% off the total purchase!

You can use this for cabela's as well, but i don't know the total savings. So my $100 dollar purchase cost me around $78-80 after all is said and done and the items i purchased were on clearance/discount.

Thanks for the tip. I had never heard of any of that stuff. Once you buy a gift card on PlasticJungle you can even exchange it for another type of card or even PayPal cash.

it should work but the issue is finding enough gift cards to satisfy the cost. The fatwallet should pay that out though.

basic rules of math...................... you can't add percentages.

75% off of $ 100 = $25 cost
50% + 25% does not equal 75%
50% of $100 =$50, 25% of $50 = $12.50 + $50 = $62.50 off instead of $75 off

15% of a gift card is a substantial savings, thanks for the heads up

i was too lazy to do they math, thus i put the "at least" part in there.... But, if u follow my post, the first 2% discounts are independent of each other. fatwallet pays on the full amount even if u use a gift card, so those 2 %'s are suppose to be added up. the credit card portion is less the gift card.

Meaning, 15% off $100 gift card = $85 out of pocket
$100 purchase using fatwallet link gives 4% back meaning you pay $96 total.

Total savings would be $15+$4 for $19 off= 19%. You add the credit card % back and its close to 20%. Add in the bass pro reward points and its 20+%.
