    Default 4/7 Silverwood Report

Ok, so let me try this again.....

I needed to get out onto the water this weekend, and I was determined. So, watched the weather and figured Castaic or Pyramid wasn't going to happen. So, I woke up at 5am, checked the weather for the Wood and said if it doesn't work out, I can always continue on down to Perris. Got the boat hooked up and we were off got to the gate about 8:30 or so, wife dropped me and my daughter into the water, she parked the truck and we were off. couldn't go to fast, as my wife was freezing, wind was about 10kts, overcast and chilly. So, hit the bank on the directly across the Marina and after and hour of of drop shotting a robo, my wife hooks up and lands a nice lil 1.5 lber. It took me about an hour after that before I hook up, since I was playing captain and fixing and retying the wife and daughters poles. But, I landed a nice 1.8 lber for my first fish and I beat the skunk. Water temp started out at 57 and rose to 60 by 1pmish. All in all a great day, sun finally came out about 1pm, I got to lose my sweatshirt and pants, and put on my shorts. We landed 10 fish, my biggest 2.8lber. 8 fish for me, 2 for my wife, but she lost a 3rd at the boat when it jumped and shook the hook loose.
