rockfish opener

hi,
well i made it out to the top secret cabezon ling hole. i got a 16" cab on the first cast.

then i nailed a toad. these cabs pull drag on 15 lb big game with abu garcia baitcaster. the blue mouth let's you know that the meat is blue.

then i pulled a small ling about 16 inch. it was so skinny that it looked like a snake. there is no mistaking the teeth on these things.


then i pulled a 20 incher it pulled a little drag but probably went about 3 lbs.

i forgot my tape but the game wardens were checking fish and licences so they measured my big cab at 20 inches the next was about 18.
a new personal best for cabs i got the tape out when i got home


so i ended up with 3 cabs 4 brown rockfish and a grass rockfish.

i didn't recognize the grass rockfish. the game warden pointed it out.
