Thread: lake Elizabeth water clarity?

    Default lake Elizabeth water clarity?

Has anyone fished Lake Elizabeth recently? I was wondering about the water clarity. Last year it was generally pea soup all the time.
    Thanks! Bob

The water clarity at Elizabeth is as good as it's going to get and the DFG has been planting trout. It's usually "pea soup" from June through October when the water is warm and the algea blooms.
Trout fishing should be good through the end of May when the water temp starts to rise. Now would be a good time to try catching any holdover fish from last years plants.

I was there before Christmas and didn't catch a thing on the fly rod. DFG is supposedly planting. I've seen guys do well with a worm beneath a bobber in the past.
