    Default Black Friday at Skinner

The new gate person at Skinner is a little slow so for those of us like 8 boats back in line it took 1/2 hour to get through. That means less "bright and early" fishing. However stripers were there to be caught. A bit of a grind after 7:30 or 8:00 but I ended up with my 5th fish at around 10:30. After reading T/O's last post from Silverwood I decided to remove my old standby swimbaits from the U-rig and tied on something more visible. Can't say I was doing better, but it sure didn't hurt. I then went over to ramp 2 area to senko in the tulies for fun and see if there was any sign of striper life there. Called it a day around 11:30 and off to the cleaning tables. For those like JNitrobass, who stick it out all day, a limit could be done. Still not wide open though. OH, BTW I noticed the fish meat is becomming more red and the blood line is wider too. Not sure why. Bleeding is a real good idea now. My wife could easily tell which fish fillets were bled and which were not.
