    Default salmon season?

    I never fished salmon before and would like to give it a shot.

    When is salmon season and where to fish in Northern Calfiornia?

    Salmon season in the ocean just closed a few weeks ago. But it's open and ON in the rivers right now. I'd suggest the Sac River above Colusa or the Feather River or the American River. Unless you want to make a long roadie up to the Klamath.
    2012 was the best salmon season I can remember and all those fish are plugging up the rivers to spawn right now.
