Thread: Back to Urban Creek Fishing: Largemouth Bass on the chew!

  1. Default Back to Urban Creek Fishing: Largemouth Bass on the chew!

New urban creek spot! Last spring, I hit up a lot of concrete jungle waterways in the Inland Empire. Still haven't gotten around to posting reports from all the different locations. This particular spot is very popular at certain times of the year, however, I still managed to land several largemouth and nice green sunfish from it on my first trip. Just went back to it a little while ago and landed more of the same species. Glad to see the fish there are still alive, despite the filthy water and litter in the area.

    Water condition: Stained
Temperature: 60s-70s, pre-rainstorm the first time, clear afternoon the second
Lures: Zipper worm on dropshot. Small Jerkbait. Senko.

    Thanks!

This creek would be pretty fun to hit with a fly rod or tenkara. Some of the other urban creeks I've hit are too thick with brush for much fly action.

The I.E. has quite a few awesome urban creeks; trick is to find them!

Nice video! That looks like a lot of fun!

I was waiting to see what a ghetto drop shot rig looks like, was expecting a spark plug or an old bolt or something...

Sad to say but I've tried those, lol! No, this was just a simple split shot drop shot rig.
