we smashed them pretty hard 2 weeks ago. bite was fun. reaction baits and jigs. everything got bit but bigger fish were on those two.
dont fish around on the internet for reports. majority are outdated and generic. go out there with your confidence baits and you'll catch fish. stay with the same colors i told you about for dvl and you'll be fine. in fact, fish it exactly how you would fish diamond when you go and you'll kill it. the moment you listen to how people tell you about the way you should fish havasu; you'll suck out there. i can relate. people tell me its a finesse lake and how i need 4# and a 4" worm. i prefer 12# - 15# and big stuff. the moment you do your own thing and treat it as your home lake; you'll see success as you'll be fishing your strengths and not chasing someone elses bite.
you could limit yourself to 3 rods and you're done. keep 2 on the deck and one in the locker. jig, reaction and dropshot when it decides to turn off. 25-30 jigs in your favorite craw color, enough trailers to cover you for the length of your trip. 4 ripbaits, 4 cranks, 4 swimbaits, 2 topwater biats, 3 colors of 4" worms and you're set in all reality. you should be able to fill your trip in a deep 3700 size plano box.
water down south is hot; water in the upper half is nice. 84 to 85 near bill williams, 82 around chalk cliffs and around site 6 to casino.
have fun. if you need anything lemme know.
Thanks Matt! Will give it a shot!
