I am and most likely will make Irvine my go to lake! but will also hit my close to home waters which is corona lake. I brought out the Trout gear at the beginning of this week and have been messing with it almost everyday! I just cant wait..
I usually only catch them by accident fishing for other types of fish.
Irvine of course the masters was a blast last year and hope to make it again this year...with busy work schedule cant be gone for two or three days so irvine is close great staff and even with the drama that sometimes happens most people i meet there are pretty cool and willing to share some tips on whats been working...and i cant see the freeway from the lake....any time u see a black four runner with with i love vagina sticker on it thats me come on and say hi
I'll be fishing BBL til it's too cold, then I'll be a full timer at the Vine, with an occasional Jan/feb trip to Skinner for some topline trolling slayage.
My goals this year are to 1. break my PB of 4.8lbs, and 2. qualify for the Masters!
I'd love to fish PVR, if only I had the time and gas money to make the 600 mile round trip up there every week! Guess I'll just be throwing all my money away at the local trout casinos this year...
well that is a good point but perhaps like me many of the veteran anglers know how to catch fish and limit or come close to a limit most of the time.
and for us that are stuck down here in the city it is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper to pay for a pay lake then it is for the gas to get up to the lower O or PVR.
just my two cents
