I should know better by now than to click onto a You Tube link.. Enjoyed the Back in the Day Flashback video way to much. Of course I had to watch the crash at Riverside Raceways Turn 1, of which I was there when it happen. Then the Jet engine test and of course How Silicon Disk Brakes are made.

I will be at the You Tube Rehab center again for a while...............Tnx DR

Went to the Mickey Thompson Off Road World Championships in 1978 - 1979.
Cool race. The Class 1 unlimited final was Rick Mears 1st, Marty Letner 2nd, Roger Mears 3rd in Class 1.
1979 ? Marty Letner was getting on the Hay Bales in the turns and blew a engine
in practice. Next day they wrapped the motor area with chicken wire so he wouldn't suck in the straw in the VW air intake. Mears Bros ran the Class 8 trucks and Class 1 unlimited both. Those were great days. Walker Evans, Ivan Stewart. Those guys ruled.
