Too funny, just got off the phone with my son that just voted in Texas. He called to make sure I voted, told him that his mother and I voted by mail two weeks ago. I asked him how long he had to wait to vote and he replied "FOUR YEARS" now I have to wipe the coffee off my keyboard I spit out from laughing.

This pretentious ponderous collection of presidential candidates is enough to prompt the question, "What day did the Lord create politics, and couldn't he have rested on that day too?"

I hear you're writing in Ronald Reagan for your ballot this year, Quaggs.

Reagan is the political Jesus Christ of Republicans. In a couple thousand years, his exploits might be chronicled, published, and sold side-by-side next to The Greatest Story Ever Told. Alas, the messianic view of Reagan shared by most neocons is not entirely accurate, to say the least. And some of his actions as President would make their heads explode if they had been committed by the current administration.

    Nuh uh.

It was the Reagan. His other lists of accomplishments include:

    1. Tripling the deficit.

    2. Raising taxes toward the end of his Administration.

    3. Enacting the largest illegal immigration amnesty program in modern American history.

    4. Selling weapons to the Iranian Mullahs.

    5. Handling that marine garrison job by Hezbollah in Lebanon quite well.

    6. Deregulating savings institutions, which resulted in the S&L crisis.

    7. AND THEN, ended up spending $125 billion in taxpayer money to bail them out.

Reagan was the man! Rocky Balboa had nothing on this guy.

I find it difficult to understand sometimes, how so much controversy and debate could be stirred up over "who" one should vote for, as opposed to "what" one should vote for....

We often forget that a president is "elected" president, not necessarily "voted" president. You see, there's this pink-elephant thing called "the electoral college", but i suppose if we were to talk about it, then all the fun would go away, as is often the case, when we stop daydreaming and come to terms with reality.

Cases in point: Election of 1824, 1876, 1888, and 2000
