Check out low down custom rods. Their production line is 200$ and they are sweet. Daiwa Lexa 300 for the reel. pm me if you have more questions.

I love my Calcutta Conquest 401TE mounted on a Loomis 956 for big swimbaits. For smaller swimbaits I have another Calcutta mounted on a Loomis 955. Between the 2 I can toss just about any swimbait.

I'm using a Cardiff 400 on the newest model of the Crucial Swimbait Rods. Love the reel but I don't really like the rod. It has a short handle and feels a bit too whippy. I miss the old cork gripped XH Crucials.
