Thread: Saltwater Spinner baits?

  1. #1

    Default Saltwater Spinner baits?

Anyone use spinnerbaits in the salt from shore? I have seen and read alot about Reebs Bolt Throwers and like what I see but not sure if they can be productive on a short cast from in the bay. Any thoughts?

The Bolt Throwersare awesome spinners. They are made to last. They are an ounce in weight so in some areas it could be tough to keep them above the eel grass. Here in mission bay where I fish they are my favorite bait to throw for big spotties. A slow retrieve with some pops and twitches gets the bass attention. A lot of times they will nail the BT on the drop during a pause and the bite is viscous. They hit the spinner so hard. They also produce really well around docks. My favorite color is the white/chartreuse. The sexy smelt color also works great.
