Default Bacon wraped Scallops on the BBQ

    Ingredients

24 Lg jumbo sea scallops ( about 2 lbs. )
    1 lb bacon
    Old Bay Seasoning
    Butter
    Lemon wedges
    Bamboo skewers

    Wash Scallops and pat dry
Soak bamboo skewers in water so they will not burn up on the bbq.
Take 1 scallop and wrap a slice of bacon around the scallop. Take 1 of the pre soaked skewers and slide the bacon wraped scalloped onto it. repeat untill you get 4 or 5 on a skewer.
You should get 5 skewers with 24 scallops.
Coat both sides of the scallops wwith Old Bay Seasoning.
Put scallop skewers on the bbq . Cook with indirect heat. When bacon is done to your crispyness take off the grill. Servve with melted butter and lemon. Most exellent tasting scallops cooked this way. Even people who do not like scallops enjoy them cooked this way. Enjoy

Sounds :food: good. Old bay seasoning? A mixture of things? Branded spice?

    ThemBastards,

Its a name brand of Seasoning.

Yellow tin W/ blue . Red top

It's for Seafood , Poultry, Salads, Meats.

    Crabs , Shrimp, Chicken.

Been around for over 60 years.

I think it was a East Coast thing before it came West.

It has a great smell and taste.

You should be able to find it at almost any super market in the spice aisle.

They are Fisher-of-Men. I forgot to say you can use garlic in the butter .

If anyone decides to make this at home be sure they are the jumbo large Sea Scallops. Bay scallops are not the same and are to small to wrap the bacon around .
