    Default Fairmont Park 8-2-12

After browsing through the forums for a while I decided to post my first report.
Headed to the local pond Lake Evans, I have fished the lake a few times before but have always been skeptical. Parked in the boat house parking lot and started to fish the island to the left. First three cast hooked up each time, nothing great or even good enough to photo but for a novice like me it was good fun. Two kids next to me that were fishing with their family witnessed all three fish, they came up next to me asking how I was catching the fish. So I hooked them up with a robo worm margarita muttilator and a quick lesson on how I was fishing the drop shot, they were stoked. After fishing with them for a few minutes I headed to the docks and started throwing a Rapala Original and hooked up on what I think was a small Crappie. Nothing big but sooner or later I hope I hook up with a fatty.
