customized lunker grubs
Took the belly off a white grub and melded it onto a pepper gold and silver flake lunker grub.
This was what caught those perch and that sandie
I also took a watermelonseed grub and melded a pumpkin salt n pepper's belly onto the back.
Was going for a green darner nymph:
Should be effective for largemouth bass.

Nice! So how do you go about joining those two lures together? Do you just cut them in half, melt each end, and join them?

Amazing look, I too would like to know your technique. Pure talent, way to think outside of the box.

what I do is cut out the back/belly of the grub i wish to alter.
Then I cut the belly out of a grub and carefully melt both cut ends then quickly press them together. I press them together as they cool.
Then I carefully melt the jagged areas smooth. If you're careful, you can melt the pieces together and get the colors to blend smoothly.
it did the trick, I tried the original grub pattern and not even a sculpin pecked at it. Then used the white bellied grub , and got bites.

Smokehound,
Are you using an open flame (lighter or small torch)or a tool (soldering iron, woodburning tool, etc.) to melt the pieces?
