Dang! Nice job. A few months back I was down by the sea and the water was really low but super clear. I must have drove a good couple miles along the canal road and all I saw in there where dead cats, small cats, some small carp and a school of something that I could not get to bite on anything. And those where small as well. After I saw that I gave up on the canal.
It's nothing to write home about, but it was fun. The striper actually jumped a coupla times! I thought I had a trout on LOL!

They probably would if they catch me there. I talked to a CVWD worker who said that CVWD and DFG won't hassle me, but the cops patrol the area and may issue tickets.
