Default UPPER 06.03.12: "No tackle box, no prob"

Called work today, they said NADA. So I figure it's time to revisit the upper lake after stalking the lagoon the last few trips... plus I can try out my new senk's and baitcaster. Pack a lunch for me and my fishing partner (some people call this person a "wife"), load the poles, hook up the rust bucket to my truck, even check the tail lights. Sunscreen, plenty of water, shades, jacket, check, check, double check. She gets home, we hit the road and are on the water 40 minutes later.

Drop the trolling motor in at old SS Cove and grab my spinning combo which was already rigged from last time for droppin. Reach for my giant tackle box to try one of the new senkos. No tackle box. Nada. FFFUUUUU####%%%%. On the boat I had ONE Roboworm for the whole day. After a few choice words I say eff it, one Robo it is. Wife suggested we go back to the ramp to buy some ish from the tackle shack but me being stubborn I start casting.

Spent about 5 hours out, only managed three feesh. First one was biggest and sank my Roboworm. After that but I managed to find a crusty old plastic worm in the bowels of the boat that produced two more greenfeesh before being sent to a watery grave. They weren't big... but bonus points for making do. Next time I will remember to bring my tackle box.

Way to make it happen. Sometimes I bring that big ol tackle box, 5 rods, lunch, etc, etc and end up only using one spinner and one senko all day. Goes to show, sometime less is best. Congrats.
