Thread: Perris 5/28 pan fish slaying!

  1. #1

Default Perris 5/28 pan fish slaying!

Went to Perris on Memorial Day with some friends and rented a boat. We were on the water from 7AM to 3PM. Caught a nice mix of redear and bluegills around the island. Caught over 100 panfish and released a lot of the smaller fish.

Very impressed with your "slay" and use of the vernacular. Nice bunch of dried out dead fish!

very nice, were you fishing bait? or jig? went out today and fished the tree line from the pump house all the way down, fishing with 1/4 or 1/2 nightcrawler, size 14 hook, 4# line. fly lining with just a tiny split shot about 12" from hook... tried a small cork as well, moral of the story is there was only 5 fish caught from 7am to 1pm.. 2 real nice gills damn close to a pound.. but i wanted to fill up the basket for a good fish fry.. please if you have any advise im all ears... nice catch dude
