Default seasons coming-dove MDR2 for a bug check

Went out today to check on the local bug population. Dove MDR2. It was 72 near the surface and 58 at 65',burrrrrrrrrr! Anyway dropped some traps before diving to see if I could coax anyone out of the rocks. No luck. After diving I know why. NO BUGS at MDR2 right now. I did find a Promar conical trap in bad shape, an anchor, a fishing rod and a lot of jigs. I was also hoping for a halibut cuz I ran out last night. Didn't see a single butt, no even a short. Lots of calicos, sheephead, sand bass, opal eye, sculpin. The reef is very healty but no bugs, probably all in shallow. See everyone out there in 6 weeks! :D

I was surprised that I didn't see any crabs. There were a lot of crab shells and claws on the bottom. But no crabs were attracted to the bonito in my traps and I didn't see any in the rocks. :?
The sheephead were out in force and if I was a crab I would be in hiding.
