Looking for slime, found red instead...

First post in a loooooong time, probably because I haven't fished in a loooooong time.

Hit the water today with my buddy on his 18' BW Dauntless. Launched outta MDR and looked around for Garrrr for a while. No luck there so we headed toward PV to hit the cods and watch for bird action. Never saw any substantial bird action but we scratched a out a nice collection of cods which included a few reds, starrys, green spots, green stripes, honeycombs, widows, rosys, and some of the pesty soles when we fell of the hard bottom.

I caught a big 'ol red out there today that hit 7 pounds on the digital scale.

We fished on the bank with the Redondo Special. Looked like they did OK, too.

Very nice,that red looks like the ones we used to catch up north out of Gaviota.
