    Hit the water about 130PM. The guy checking the boats mentioned that the fishing was slow today. Water temps were 74-76 in various parts of the lake and 70 when leaving at 550 due to losing the battle to the wind.

    Bite was very slow to start on various types of plastics rigged various types of ways (literally). I noticed a few bass chasing bait fish, so I threw a rapala shad....a few casts into it, I land a 5.0 lb'er. Then, bam...bam...bam....they were nailing the crank bait. So my son switched, he caught 2...and then the wind made the fishing too hard...

    Nice fatty. Way to change your presentation based on surrounding circumstances.

    Beautiful! Nice that your son caught some fish. Yeah when that wind comes up, makes it hard to fish.
