    Default Puddingstone on Tuesday 4-10-12

    Hello fellow anglers -

I am new to posting on the fishingnetwork but have been coming here for a while to find new spots to fish. My usual fishing spots are Big Bear lake or High Sierras around Bishop, Rock Creek and the reservoir so I am not familiar with Puddingstone. I live close by to Puddingstone and get the urge to fish a few times a week even if it's only for an hour.

Any advice you can give me for catching trout and crappie would be appreciated; location, set up, etc. I didn't take photos of the small blue gill I caught but here's some scenic photos of Puddingstone.

Thanks in advance for your help! - Sorry, thought the HTML from photo bucket would work. How do you get a larger file photo on this site?!?

Fishing Realtor, Sailboat Cove, the East Shore and North Shore are pretty good for trout fishing. I use a 15 inch -2 foot leader with any kind of PB. I also use lures to catch trout if the bait action is slow..... Drop shot rigs for crappies, redears and bluegills. You can try it with red worms or with the jig. The East Shore or Sailboat Cove are good for small pan fish. Hope this helps with your questions.

Thanks for the advice Fishing Queen. I've tried Sailboat Cove and near the lifeguard dock. Caught a couple good sized crappie and baked them with garlic, light butter and salt/pepper. I think I found my new favorite freshwater fish!
