Never heard of any warm water fish in Lake Tahoe. Several species of trout (rainbow, mackinaw, brown, cuthroat) plus Kokanee salmon.

The lake gets stocked on a regular basis. Cave Rock is a good area to fish from shore after stocking. Most major harbors are also stocked but I have had little luck fishing them. Holdovers are also caught from shore but fewer in number.

My advice is to spend more time fishing nearby Donner Lake. Donner is heavily stocked (plus holdovers) and there are several public fishing piers that offer good access. Lures and usual trout baits. Fish early for shallow fish. As the day progresses fish deep. Should be excellent.

Of course Boca. Stampede and Prosser should be good early, near the dams.

If you are into stream fishing the Truckeee has a lot of fish, but again, fish early and ;late in the day.

If you don't mind a road trip (1 1/2 -2 hours) Caples Lake and the Carson River (both forks) have superb fishing....just a bit of a drive.

Again, Donner should do you just fine

There is definitely without a doubt Largemouth in the Keys.,as well as lots of bluegill and some smaller Carp. I was just there in July for a week in the Keys....I got two peices of advice for ya.........&#4 6;Oxblood roboworms fished all over the place but if you have the boat access fish the mouth of the keys were the Lake comes in,the two points right there produced fish for me lots of times. Also topwater is very good in there as well, make sure you have a Zara Puppy in your box and also find some other top water stuff in Green if you can. The bite always seemed to be better in the late afternoon too. Good luck and take pictures
