Default New Fortrex trolling motor installed and tested on the shad... wfo Bass

Had to chase down the UPS man yesterday, he did a ring and run any kid would be proud of, but I caught him and got my box with my trolling motor I pickup off of Bass Boat Central classys.. brand new Minnkota Fortrex, saved all most 500 bucks... took a while to install by myself but it went together with out any hitches...
Launched to a breezy south wind blowing down the fish arm, I was trying as hard as I could not to hit any rocks while making bait, took about 20 minutes and I had enough for the late afternoon bass bite...
The fortrex is awesome, I replaced my worn out Pro Maxxum, after re-doing the brushes and seals I believe now that the control board needs replaced, motors 3 years old but as much as I fish I'd say it has more like 10 years of use... I just hope I don't tear up the new one, it came with the built in USB transducer, I have to order the cable, anyone have one there not using ???
I can't wait for the Lagoon to open up to use the fortrex down there, they jacked the poured concrete panel in place and now there'll pour the top, shouldn't be more than 3 weeks I bet and goon here we come...
Fishing with the shad is like fishing in a stocked pool... every bait is a fish...
I've put away the 6 pound test and I'm using 10 and 12 now, these fish are big and mean....
And I got tired of getting busted off...
Got over 30 fish in 2 hours tonight and left them busting...

The shad bite is still the ticket, I've got open spots this week and the shad are still around the bass will bite!
