Monterey road trip. Fishing and family.

took a trip up to Santa Cruz to fish for WSB with the uncles in Monterey, visit with family, and relax over the labor day weekend. we were able to make squid, and a few octopus thrown in for good measure. we fly lined squid while dropping sabikis for bait. we struck out on the WSB, but while making bait we picked up a big bucket of big san dabs for dinner, and a few rock fish as by-catch. there was a lot of jelly fish, and our hands were feeling it by the end of the day. my white braid is stained red. even with the slow fishing the weather and scenery was perfect. we also saw the bigest sun fish (mola) i've ever seen in my life, at least 800lbs. i got some good underwater footage with my go pro that i will post as soon as i can find my stupid cable.
