3rd Annual Hunting Giants III - Surf Fishing Event
Dedicated in Memory of Dana Rea - Fisherman 57
Presented by S.W.A.T.
Malibu - Saturday, November 19th, 2011 - 8:00am to 2:00pm

You are cordially invited to join S.W.A.T. and other fellow FNN members on the sand for a day of Family, Friends, Fun, Fishing and Food!
This event is in rememberance of Dana Rea - Fisherman 57, the Godfather of Team 57 and leader of the "Heaven" S.W.A.T. Chapter.

The admission to this event is FREE and open to all registered members of the Fishing Network.

Surf Fishing Derby with prizes from S.W.A.T., FNN, Phenix Rods, Bass Pro Shops, Bob Sands Tackle and more. There is no charge to enter the derby and is capped for the first 50 registered members of the event. Valid California Fishing License with a saltwater stamp. Catch & Release only. Artificials and bait fishermen. One rod per angler. Separate derby for the 15 and under anglers.

All S.W.A.T. members will be on the sand for the event. This is your chance to meet and hang out with the Crew and ask us anything you wish in regards to surf fishing. We will be happy to share knowledge and tips with you. If you are new to surf fishing, this is a great way to learn and get information. If you're already a seasoned surf angler, it would be fun to share experiences and swap stories. Maybe we all can learn something from each other.

Food arrangements: Pot Luck style, bring something for yourself and maybe a little more to share with others. You are not obligated to bring a dish to the event. There will be plenty of food for everybody.

Registration process: Registration via PM only (Private Message). Open to all registered FNN members. Members under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent at the event. No dogs allowed on the sand in the Malibu area.

Send Arthur (Wingnut) a PM with the following information:
Your first and last name.
Do you wish to enter the fishing derby?
Pot luck item (optional).
Are you bringing any family members and/or guests?

Once you are registered, you will receive a reply PM with a confirmation and additional information on the event.

Come out and join the fun. Hope to share the sand with all of you on the 19th!

Looking forward to being at this great event once again to meet some new friends! This is what "57" envisioned and would be proud of us to carry on with what was started 2 short years ago!

For those that were unfortunate to be able to attend in the past , you missed out and here is a great opportunity to join in a very fun day out there sharing experiences and meeting new friends and to gain some knowledge from some talented folks.

Some great surf knowledge will be shared by some, discussions will be had and shared while standing side by side in the surf by some that have great freshwater talents catching trout, the cats, the bass, and you name it, all while trying to expand their horizons .

If Blackwater attends we will make sure that a medivac helicopter is on standby but I have already bribed the sand cleaning dude in the tractor to smooth out the sand for him

Lets all hope for good conditions for this event. Gonna bring the barbe this time, and maybe throw some of this years albacore on. Might have to play with the "grill marked LC" for grins and giggles. Who's got the giant thermos for group coffee events? That would be icing on the cake.

Oops, sorry Rob... that's okay, you'll have fun hanging out at Irvine with the "new" era of Team 57. lol
Doesn't matter where you honor the spirit of Dana and Team 57, as long as you still do... some of us forget too quickly...
