Took my brothers down to the mid today for some striper huntin!


Nope,,,,,,,,I didnt fish,,,,,,,,,,,just drove the boat and my brothers did the killin!

WAS A BLAST!

Best bite was the 1st 3 hrs of the day,,,,,,,,,,,,,Mark,d TONSSSSSSS of fish at 60 to 120 feet but the actice schools were suspended between 30 and 40 feet on big bait balls tearing the heck out of,M..

WAYYYY biger models then the typical pyramid schoolies,,,,,,,


Before we ever left the channel donnie landed the 1st SMB,,,,,,Tossd him back and kept looking for the jailbirds,,

Bought an hr later we found,m and IT WAS ON!.


Quite a few superdinks ,,,alot of double rod doubles and some quality fish mixed in with the dinks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,then the LMB came out to play,,,,,,,,,,all releadse eccept 1 that totally gut swallowd the big salt water jig head ,,,,,,,abought a 4lbr,,,,,by the time i got my bros jig back he was done for,,,,,so we kept him for the smoker,,,,,,,,released all the rest of the green carp alive and well,,,,,,,,,,Donnie had his TRIFECTA,,,,,,,,HAPPY BIRTHDAY donnie!!!!!!

Mike was a slaying to this whole time,,,,,,,,,then abought noon the bite died and we tried a cpl more spots then split,,,,,,Was a GREAT day at the MID!!!

Just couldnt get the S,TON trip togather mike,,,,,,,,,,,Truck issues <wiring issues> kept me from commiting to the long drive solo,,,,,,,,And the fact that all my buds kept backing out on the ALL OUT S,TONE FNN BLITZ that i was trying to get togather on the only few days that i had a chance to go for the next cpl months!

Actually D,A,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Trolling for the linesides keeps the driver pretty buisy ,,,,,,,,,,,,WAYYYYYYY more to it then meets the eye and thats a fact,,,,,Verry rewarding to when you find just the right combo of direction/speed/depth/color combo and lure size,,,,,,,,,and are able to get a pattern on fish that just DONT STAY PUT for verry long.

If id a had a cpl D,Rs the mid day bite would have been better for us,,i did have L,CORE on the boat but figured that we had enough feesh already and call,d it good

Was thinkin more about that LMB.. If everyone would just kill one of those bigger LMB per trip andthrow back the smaller LMB's back wounded for the striper it would go a long way in eradicating the green nuisanse fish from our striper lakes...
